Okay so I picked up a ton of followers last weekend, probably in response to my baptism tweets, which means most of y'all are Mormon. And some of you haven't turned around and unfollowed me so I guess you know what I'm about. So I'm going to tell you some more accounts to follow. https://twitter.com/Kullervo_1979/status/1264786473515126784
So, here is a list of Mormon-adjacent Twitter accounts that I think you should follow, read, think about and amplify:
(I am not going to remember everyone so I hope I don't hurt anyone's feelings by omission)
@JamesGoldberg is an author and poet who has done and continues to do amazing work grappling with identity questions and big ideas about Mormon art. Follow him, buy his books and read them.
@mel_leilani is a playwright and screenwriter who does amazing stuff, specifically telling Mormon women's stories. Her film Jane and Emma is on Amazon Prime. Go watch it.
@blaire_ostler doesn't post on here enough but follow her anyway. You can also hear her a lot on Sunstone's podcasts. She is Mormonism's best thinker.
@camillagluh and @mormcore are the core of the Mormon arts collective @the_ARCH_HIVE, their stuff is rad.
@KHaglund1 @jkimballcook @abu_Casey @_Kristine_A @_megconley @ElleMaeGal @TheConorHilton are my usual suspects for deep theology dives. Just wait until one of these threads gets going and sit back and enjoy.
@PresidentBishop is a loving and Christlike leader who has basically adopted all of young Mormon Twitter as his kids and his ministry.
@Txtofmormonism is an absolutely essential follow for that Mormon 𝒿𝑒 𝓃𝑒 𝓈𝒶𝒾𝓈 𝓆𝓊𝑜𝒾, both here and on Instagram.
You probably already follow @nihilists4jesus but if not, you should. If you can handle my reverent swearing and earnest irreverence, you're ready to up your game and handle his.
Good Lord I hope you're already following @dandelionmama but if not you need to fix that, right away. Just do it. She's the best.
There are a lot of really important LGBTQ+ Mormon voices who I have not already named, and I'm not going to point you at them directly because I don't know if you're an asshole or not and I don't want to inflict you on them if you are.
But you really, really need to be hearing those voices. You'll find them if you take more than about ten seconds of time and a minimal effort.

But if I catch you being a dick I will report you and block you in a fucking heartbeat.
Listen more than you talk. Whatever you have to say, they have heard it. You need their input; they really *really* do not need yours.
@CristinaMartaR is not Mormon but she is a scholar of Mormon fundamentalism and she is an absolute gift and we don't deserve her at all.
@Keepapitchinin is an essential follow for Mormon history.
@religiongal and @janariess are important voices in journalism, and you could learn a lot from them (I have).
@motleyvision @WmHenryMorris and @thmazing for general insight into Mormon arts and lit
Support @BccPress, and buy and read everything they put out.
That includes, especially, *anything and everything* by @birdsofashmae @rachelsteenblik @KnightSonntag and @metteharrison all of whom are brilliant and amazing writers you should follow.
Oh shoot when I said journalists I should have included @AriWRees
I hope you are already following @BYUMaxwell but if not, please start. and also @LifeOnaPlate who does their very good podcast.
Speaking of podcasts, I really like the @BTBLDS podcast with @jamcjon and @LDThinking. You should follow them all on Twitter but really, tune into the podcast.
Someone else already mentioned this but I hope you will do yourself a favor and sign up for the @BlockDNat blocklist. Your experience on Mormon Twitter will be a million times better.
(And before you argue with me on that point, just go ahead and unfollow me, because I will block you without even a moment's hesitation)
This is nowhere near a complete list of phenomenal Mormon-adjacent accounts. I have so many good friends on here, like my cabal of truly excellent Mormon lawyers who share pictures of nice shoes. And I don't want anyone to feel left out. This is just a list to get you started.
You can follow @Kullervo_1979.
