It’s so easy to “not be into politics” because you’re simply “uncomfortable” by WATCHING happen. When it’s not even happening to you, or to your loved ones. Stand the fuck up for the people who don’t have a choice to “avoid politics” on social media

I was this person for so long and I am so sorry. It made me uncomfortable. It broke my heart. I justified not speaking up for so long because it was hard on ME. How. Selfish.

I’m sorry it took me so long to understand that I need to use my platform to speak up for the people who can’t. I also realize it’s not about my voice at all, but using my social influence to raise highlight the voices of the actual people who are affected. Listen to them.
