another thread on HOW TO DO CPR!!

I've been red cross certified in basic first aid and want to share basic information for those who need it. this thread will include songs to hum while doing CPR and how to properly do it!! PLEASE RT!!
NOTES: CPR is meant to save a life and should only be used on someone who is unconscious, unresponsive, and does not have a pulse/a faint pulse, and is not breathing
when doing CPR, remember to put all your weight behind it!! bruises are not nearly as bad as death
BEFORE doing cpr: designate people around you to go get help. make sure one is 100% aware that you are relying on them to find medics, and at least two others are there to switch places if needed
next, lay the person on flat ground and make sure you tell others to back away
on the person, find their sternum. its going to be in the center of the chest and you'll feel a sharp point where it ends and your hands need to go above it in the middle of the bone. interlock your fingers and press down with the heel of your palm at 100 bpm
NOTE: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GIVE MOUTH TO MOUTH especially with the virus going around, do not worry about mouth to mouth. CPR forces the entire chest down and cam aide in breathing too
DOING CPR: use all your weight to compress their chest and push using your shoulders, not bending your arms. make sure their chest goes down as much as possible with each compression and wait for it to rise on its own before starting the next one
SONGS WITH 100BPM:
Gives you hell - all american rejects
Baby Shark
Hips don't lie - shakira
Sorry - Justin Bieber
Dancing Queen - ABBA
living on a prayer - bon jovi
Another brick in the wall - pink floyd
hey soul sister - train

NOTES: Do not stop CPR until medics arrive!! when you get tired, switch out with someone and rest!! do not keep trying to do compressions if you're tired, they'll be less effective

I really hope this thread helps
ANOTHER NOTE I FORGOT!!! CPR on children is virtually the same as on an adult. The thread detailed how to do CPR on an adult, while on a child you only need to use ONE HAND and try to aim for ~120bpm instead of 100bpm. otherwise it's all the same!
