to be a non-Black student leader that is completely silent during a time like this is a privilege i was never afforded. wow. i need to log off before i start telling the truth about some of these “leaders” y’all love.
you know what? lmfao. i can't believe my legacy is being followed by an opportunist. this person still hasn't AT THE VERY LEAST plagiarized people’s tweet for a statement about this week's events. wow, they were so great at plagiarizing people's ideas a few months ago...
imma speak on what i know firsthand. to name the elephant, i’m talking about my successor, raj kittusamy (he/they pronouns), the new “chair” of student government. since no one listened to me the first time, lemme reiterate things since i can’t be interrupted on my own page.
some of you Black womxn might remember him as the south asian kid that entered a Black space only to discreetly document y’all’s experiences with racism while studying abroad and then took that information who knows where. it didn't come to me, the Black woman who's chair of sga.
some student organizers might remember him as the kid who snitched to admin and told them about a protest which led to the NYPD being called.
the same NYPD that this kid supposedly protested against at a decolonize this place protest. yikes. they were really not paying attention, huh. what does he think ftp means?? yeah, y'all really just chant ANYTHING at protests for clout.
i guess he paid attention in civics class tho. he tried to organize an event called f*cking vote. (s/o coronavirus for stopping that.) imagine using shame tactics to harass Black and Brown people to vote as if that will ever bring us liberation. please have more nuance!!
anyways. be careful of "leaders" who keep feeding you the same rhetoric about change they can bring to you and your community. it's a sad world where you have to beg your leaders to represent you.
