Without further ado... World, meet ZP803!

Our third @P8A_PoseidonRAF is named after Squadron Leader Terence 'Terry' Bulloch.

He's in the history books when it comes to Maritime Aviation, but if you're not familiar with his story...

Sqn Ldr Terry Bulloch was one of the most decorated pilots in @RoyalAirForce Coastal Command during WWII.

Most notably, he was responsible for sinking four German U-boats during the Battle of the Atlantic.

Terry was born in 1916 in Lisburn, Northern Ireland.

He joined the RAF in 1936, and by the time WWII began in 1939 he was an experienced Coastal Command pilot.

During the start of the war he conducted convoy escorts and anti u-boat patrols over the Atlantic.

Bulloch was the first to pilot a B-17 Flying Fortress across the Atlantic for use in @RoyalAirForce Bomber Command.

In 1941, Terry joined @CXX_Squadron who had stood up at RAF Nutts Corner in Northern Ireland flying B-24 Liberators.

During his time on @CXX_Squadron, Bulloch developed new tactics & techniques in Anti-Submarine Warfare.

Most of Bulloch's tactics were implemented by Coastal Command, and soon all pilots were flying using his play-book!

These tactics proved effective, as he destroyed 4 U-Boats during the Battle of the Atlantic.

He received the Distinguished Service Order and Bar, and Distingushed Flying Cross and Bar, becoming one of the most decorated in @RoyalAirForce Coastal Command.

On retirement, Terry had completed over 350 missions, flying over 4,500 flying hours - over a quarter of which were on the B-24 Liberator!

Sqn Ldr Terry Bulloch passed away in December 2014, aged 98.

It's an honour to be able to remember the life of Squadron Leader Terence Malcolm Bulloch, by naming the third @RoyalAirForce @P8A_PoseidonRAF after him!

Six more aircraft will roll out of the @Boeing production line, making their way to #TeamLossie in the UK!

To prepare for our nine @P8A_PoseidonRAF our runways are being resurfaced by @VolkerFitzUK.

Our brand new Strategic Facility which will house @CXX_Squadron, 201 Sqn, and P-8A Engineers & Operations staff is in its final stages of construction by @RobertsonGroup

Bringing @P8A_PoseidonRAF into service with the @RoyalAirForce has truly been a team effort.
