Some general tips for protests/getting arrested:

1. Disable fingerprint identification on your phone. Police can force you to unlock your phone using your finger without a warrant. They can’t make you type in your passcode.
2. Write any numbers you might need in permanent marker on your skin. If you get separated from a group, or if you get arrested, it’s best not to depend on having your phone because it could get confiscated or the battery could die.
3. One of the numbers you write (arm or thigh) needs to be the number of the ACLU or a local lawyer you know is working/willing to support protestors. This is really important.
4. Please don’t go alone. Please have a person who is your person, who has your back and you have theirs.
5. Be careful with your identification/wallet. My friend had his wallet stolen by white supremacists at a protest, and he was doxxed and they got his address and everything.
6. It’s important to know your own limit. There will be antifa at these protests who are willing & ready to get physical with any white supremacists or counter protestors. You do not have to be one of these people. That doesn’t mean turn a blind eye, but you have to know yourself
7.Cops are liars, and they will lie to you, and they are allowed to lie to you without recourse. CALL THE ACLU IF YOU GET ARRESTED. NEVER TRUST THE WORD OF A PIG.
