can't remember who said it but much like the 1st Amendment, no one seems to properly understand what section 230 is and does!!!

a newspaper publishing an op-ed is saying "we approve of this opinion and are willing to defend it in a court of law." a person commenting on that op-ed is not endorsed by the newspaper or anyone.
a person tweeting about the op-ed is not representing twitter; they are using the platform to express an opinion. this thread is not the official opinion of twitter nor should it be seen as such.
section 230 is saying that twitter and other platforms (including comment sections!!) are NOT forced to defend everything that is posted on their site by a 3rd party and be willing to go to court because of what's posted
