THREAD!!
Last night in Louisville, I went to the protest for Breonna Taylor with two cameras. This is what I witnessed:
LMPD utilized rubber bullets and tear gas to disperse protestors.
1. fireworks thrown by protestors at police lines
2. police snipers on rooftops overlooking the protest
3. graffiti left by protestors
4. initially, park benches were being set on fire before being used as barricades and shields against the police
1. protestors behind makeshift barricades on south sixth street
2, 3. a woman shouts at police and later gets up close (notice the paintball gun aimed directly at her)
4. a woman walks past the police lines on East jefferson street while reciting the lord’s prayer
towards the end of the protest, police were advancing their line and forcing protestors to leave. i noticed a group of police cornering a black woman who may have been homeless. this man approached them and escorted her out.
