before i start, i'd like to say that i'm not filipino and do not in any way mean to speak for or over filipinos. i'm simply trying to use my voice to raise awareness on this bill. if any of my tweets overstep any boundaries, please let me know & i'll take them down and apologise

if the anti-terrorism bill is passed, it will give state institutions the power and right to red tag organizations and perform warantless arrests on individuals. it also paralyses access to human rights such as freedom of speech.

this bill may get individuals arrested for critism on the government and/or its officials. it doesn't aim to protect its nation nor its citizens. it aims to protect the politicians who think critism and activism equates to terrorism.

this bill would legalize wiretapping, warantless arrests and anyone including minors can be enjailed if they're suspected as “t*rrorists”. it would allow prosecution and action to be taken on anyone who will openly/publicly criticise the government
