how far back can you trace your family's history? i find seemingly familiar names on slave documents sometimes but the lines of who is who is who are so blurred. i think tho i've found the foys that held ownership of my family but still no idea who we were before we were enslaved
poplar grove, the plantation owned by the foy family is now a paranormal tourist attraction. weird that ppl go to that shit for laughs and cheap scares
@mysummernectar inspired me to reach out to the current estate owners. i'd love to get any further documentation on the enslaved people they kept, and see about having reparations paid to my surviving family
