I really wanted to go to Palisadoes for a walk. Just to clear my head. Just to be.
Palisadoes affords you that experience.
Where you can exist, acknowledge that the city is happening on the other side without parttaking.
I also wanted company, noone is particular
just company. So I sent out a tweet and got a few responses. And well my spirit just picked the 1st person for The Walk.
It was @kimmi_kimfriez. Kim and I know each other through art, usually very good vibes shared but no closeness, nothing especially personal before the walk.
Initially when we started the journey I thought it was gonna be awkward cause we didn& #39;t exchange a lot of words we mostly listened to Lila. She came bearing gifts of sustenance (fruits and water). I loved that :& #39;(

Anyways fast forward to The Walk.
We started at the very top of the paved sidewalk. As we journeyed our conversations got deeper and deeper. We were honest, open and vulnerable.
Work life, failures/loss, childhood, relationships, growth, etc, etc.
We walked until we got to opening that leads to
the beach. I had to stop to honour my body (my bladder to be specific dwl)
I hadnt even realized we had walked so far.
I came back to find @kimmi_kimfriez like this, meditating.
I did nothing more than join her.
Both of us sat there, in silence, giving the earth its time.
To speak. Eyes closed. Deep breaths.
We simply existed in stillness for a moment
We both captured each other without the other& #39;s knowledge.
Lol.
We walked back and it was another round of conversations.
It felt so good being able to listen.
To make space.
To be heard.
To be seen.
Without fear.
Without judgement.

I just remembered this moment and felt like sharing.

Thank you for following spirit.
Thank you for this moment.

@kimmi_kimfriez I hope you have the best day.
Today feels like one of those days where this would have been an ideal experience.
But I may never have another like this one and that is okay.
It was special, authentic and fun.

I am so grateful.
I feel so full.
