Everytime we celebrate one of our leaders on of the PNP people come on here with their revisionist history.

They forget the systematic oppression of Rastafari under NW Manley. They forget how NW Manley oppressed Garvey and how they treated his funeral when his body was returned https://twitter.com/nextchapter1234/status/1266332949827461120
Rastafari faced oppression from colonial, the indigenous political class and the wider society for decades even before independence.

This labeling one side as oppressors and abusers damages the process of a conscious and honest appraisal of our history.

It's offensive.
Those who continue this one sided narrative are seemingly not interested in the historical plight of rastafari or seeking their rights but merely want to co-opt Rasta as part of their narrow political agenda.

Thankfully though, we have google.
I say all this to emphasise that we cannot move Jamaica forward without a full and honest appraisal of our history.

Some of those who proclaim themselves as PNP pan-Africanists while spouting lies are merely Wolves in sheep's clothing.
