Every black man you know has had an uncomfortable encounter with police. When I was 18, I was visiting family in Atlanta and went to pick up pizza with my cousin. We walk out with pizza in our hands and these cops pulled up on us and forced us to be frisked.
When getting frisked by this white cop, I got asked, "Do you have any drugs on you?" And I'm just like, "No? I'm just buying pizza?" And all of this because we "matched the description" of a suspected shooter in the area. They stopped after another squad "found him".
That being said, this shit has happened to every black man. I'm actually scared of having these type of run-ins with cops now that I'm older because I don't know if I'll make it out alive or not. This is why we kneel. This is why we protest. FTP.
