It’s this: “...Mr. Scarborough, now a liberal MSNBC personality.”
I don’t watch him a lot, but I was unaware he was now a liberal. Has the former GOP Congressman come out for Medicare For All? Raising the top marginal tax rate? Reparations? Or any other liberal policy?

“Liberal” and “conservative” used to describe different approaches to public policy, usually but not always centered on government intervention in the economy. Now the words mean “anti-Trump” and “pro-Trump.” But the people who are anti-Trump are in many cases not liberal...
And the people who are pro-Trump are now not recognizably “conservative,” at least not in the way I was taught to understand the term. We need better language.
