Let me get this straight...

-CNN reporter of color arrested during LIVE report in Minneapolis despite credentialed and willing to comply.
-POTUS alludes to violence against “looters”
-Several shot during protests of police-involved shooting death in Louisville.

Good morning
This morning, @CNN reporter @OmarJimenez arrested LIVE on the air. He and his crew have since been released.

He calmly identifies himself, displays credentials, offers to comply ... and again, is on LIVE TV with a camera crew.

And given the optics — why do this? https://twitter.com/newday/status/1266315061209030658
Here is @OmarJimenez report following his release. He describes his interactions with police while in custody and reports the arresting officer said he was “following orders.”

Whose orders? We don’t know.

But kudos to Omar’s poise and professionalism, and thankful on tape. https://twitter.com/newday/status/1266338035597221888
The explanation given by Minnesota State Police on the CNN crews arrest is not genuine or accurate.

At the very least poses the question — What else would Omar need to do to prove he is the media? Or why didn’t officers believe him?

Again... consider the optics. https://twitter.com/mndps_msp/status/1266338580596690949
In terms of the Presidents overnight tweets — the phrase “when the looting starts, shooting starts” ... is not original. It dates back decades.
