Gonna be reporting from Minneapolis for most of the day today - per the Hennepin County scanners, "No one goes into or leaves the perimeter." (Set up around/near the 3rd precinct)

State Troopers and National Guard were seen on scene before we left the block early this morning
As Nat'l Guard moved in last night, most folks scattered. Heard one street medic say as they got in their car, "The Guard are coming, and we medics can't treat the hurt they about to give you if you stick around tonight"

I'm very interested to see how folks regroup today
I will say that last night the absolute calm and feeling of being completely safe among the rebels (burning buildings aside) was immediately shattered by the revelation that police and National Guard was moving in
Jarring change to the atmosphere
Also want to note that the average age of the folks who stuck around skewed pretty young. Hard to tell behind facemasks but it seemed like the vast majority of folks were in their late teens/early 20s
Can't overstate just how militantly joyful the atmosphere was around the precinct, with hundreds of folks still milling around at 3am. Truly never seen anything like it.
Scanner traffic has the cops sounding far more organized than the last three days, but the day is still young so we'll see what happens today.
Anyway I'm gearing up and grabbing some much-needed coffee and food, but follow this thread for updates throughout the day
