One of the biggest con-games played on the Hindus is creating of a faux comparison between India and US. These two countries are nothing alike.

India is now led by people who were subjugated for 1000yrs under TWO waves of colonization. USA is STILL ruled by settler-colonizers.

India is a post-colonial state struggling to find her bearing and finally, working towards asserting her identity and her true power. If there is any democracy in the world that can be compared to India, with respect to its history of colonization and subsequent independence, it is not USA, but South Africa. In SA too, power has gone back to the colonized while the settler-colonizers still live as minority.

Any move that India makes with respect to its populations should be seen not from the lens of USA but from the lens of SA. For instance, would you really complain if SA decided to give refugee to black refugees around the world? No.
That’s how CAA must be understood.
