If this had been a matter concerning any other prejudice, I assume Owen would have taken a moment to reflect. Instead, he responded within 3 minutes with: "what the hell is wrong with you".

No time even to take a closer look or ask his Jewish friends for a second opinion. 2/7

I had not yet replied before he retweeted my post to his almost 1m followers and then hit "Block". So I get a wave of tweets saying "You're the antisemite" and talking of "antisemitism industry", but no room for debate 3/7

As I say, any other type of prejudice would trigger Owen to pause for thought. When it's antisemitism, he jumps straight to defensiveness, accusations of "bad faith" & "faux outrage", and an instant blocking (particularly annoying as I now can't correct his calling me Ethan!) 5/7

He actually had chutzpah to say this morning: "Jewish people who have shared their fears and anger over antisemitism need to be listened to, not dismissed as a conspiracy."

How can he listen when he has blocked so many (who have not offered abuse but criticism)? 6/7

I never suggested he had approved the cover. But he retweeted it, defended it and pointed the finger at its critics.

If he can't see that a cursory look at the image would warrant misgivings, I would suggest he needs a trip to Barnard Castle. 7/7
