Crazy how AoT went from a passionate vision by Tetsurou Araki, to being handed down to his subordinate by studio management, to beong given to a random director affiliated with a hired studio.

Doesn't mean season 4 will be bad, I actually have good hopes for it, but artistically, having so little history or connection to the rest of the series definitely feels a little sour.

All these passionate staff members who gave years of their life to this anime, only for MAPPA to turn to some random guys and tell them "you, adapt the conclusion to Attack on titan now"
