We watched George Floyd murdered on video. The police conveniently didn't have body cams on for Regis Korchinski-Paquet. Omar Jimenez was unlawfully arrested on live TV trying to cooperate. And they lie about all of it.

The police aren't in place to protect us, not all of us.

I haven't tweeted through it because I thought quietly donating and signal-boosting other voices was the best thing to do. That was an error. My friends and community members live every day scared for themselves and their friends and families, and being quiet is being complicit.

I'm sorry that it took me too long in this instance to use my voice. There is a responsibility as a member of a predominantly white media covering a predominantly black sport, and as a person, that I didn't meet and deserved to be checked on.
