Ravindra Jadeja's Redemption Story from 2009 T20 World Cup to Champions Trophy 2013:

#Thread #Cricket @imjadeja
It was India's 2nd match against England in T20 World Cup 2009 in their home soil on 14th June,2009. India already lost the 1st match vs West Indies so it was do or die match for India to stay alive in the tournament. England posted 153/7 from 20 overs and India needed 154 to win
India lost Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina in quick time and Jadeja walked out to bat at number 4 ahead of Yuvraj Singh when India were 22/2 after 3.4 overs. Jadeja played his worst inning ever in his life by scoring just 25 runs from 35 balls including only one fours.
Jadeja's Strike Rate was just 71 and India lost the match by 3 runs in the end though Dhoni & Pathan tried a lot but couldn't cross the line. Defending champion India out of the tournament.
4 Years later it was Champions Trophy final against the same opponent England and that too in their home
soil on the same month 23rd June,2013 where 50 overs match reduce to 20 overs due to rain interruption. India were struggled in one stage 66/5 while batting first.
Then Jadeja came into bat but this time he thought in different way. He played a brilliant knock under pressure. He scored unbeaten 33 from 25 balls including 2 fours and 2 sixes with a strike rate of 132 and post a fighting totals on the board in a bit damp and moisture pitch.
England was needed 130 to win the match but India kept pressure on through out the inning. Jadeja took 2 important wickets of Bell and butler by conceding just 24 runs from his 4 overs. Butler was out on a golden duck. Everyone bowling well specially Ashwin and Ishant's comback.
India won the match by 5 runs in the end and lift the trophy. Jadeja was awarded Man of Match for his all round performance and also won golden ball by
taking most wicket in the tournament.

HE WAS FAILED BUT NEVER GO AWAY AND THIS IS THE PRICE FOR THAT.
