I’m really really tired of online church. And I know it’s heresy to say that. I know we’re supposed to embrace digital. I know we’re reaching people who would never step through our doors. I know church isn’t a building I know this is the new normal...

I also know I crave physical gathering. My people need the Eucharist. A large number of people cannot access or manage the technology. Church has become online shopping. And I’m exhausted keeping up both traditional pastoral care of a community and managing on online business.

I know there are opportunities.
I know good leaders embrace change. I know the Spirit is working and we must trust in that. I know the church isn’t the building (had to say that again because someone will still remind me of it). I know.

But it’s still exile.
I’m still sad.
