Killings like what you saw of Floyd can cause otherwise calm reasonable people to freak out at feeling like they have no power and that leads to looting, rioting.

Yesterday I felt so powerless that I listened to fuck the police for the first time in like 30 years.
That is not typical behavior for me. If anything I'm that dude saying "I understand that it's easy to hate cops, but most people don't know what it's like to do job every day where you are in bad neighborhoods where bad things happen....
People tweet from their safe homes about how bad cops are but would never step foot in the places cops go every day.". I'm that dude and in spite of that being my disposition, yesterday morning I played fuck the police, and I have had nothing but great interactions with police
When I've been pulled with my white girlfriend I my bmw in the south on multiple occasions, I was treated with respect every time, I was breaking the law / speeding. Virginia, kansas, Maryland. Always been treated well by cops.

And yesterday I still played fuck the police
Why? I'm frustrated by what I've seen over the last 4 weeks ahmad aubrey, floyd, breonna Taylor, heck even birdwatching negroes aren't safe, there's thug ass dudes out there to be worried about when you are in the park, the ones looking for bluejays through binoculars ain't.
I've gotta raise kids in this shit. Every time I see one of those videos I can't help but think I gotta remind my kids that while cops are generally good people all it takes is one wrong one and you could be next. That's hard to go to work thinking that shit.
How can you NOT expect people to be frustrated?
