While we continuously fight for justice for our black brothers & sisters, this is what is happening here in the Philippines. i do not mean to steer away from the BLM movement, but i think this is as urgent. The HOR has just approved the Anti-Terror Bill https://www.pna.gov.ph/articles/1104372
Let me get this straight: this bill is not really built against the real terrorists, but is an act of silencing the masses synonymous to red-tagging.
But first, what is Red-Tagging?

Basically, red-tagging is the act of persecuting a person for being suspected as a communist, left-leaning— basically as a threat to the government. A part of these red-tagged groups are student activists in universities https://verafiles.org/articles/vera-files-fact-sheet-why-red-tagging-dangerous
Why is the Bill anti-activist?

This is how the bill defines "terrorism", which for the most part, is very vague. Pay close attention to (b) and (c); these items, being vague, can include rallies by activist groups
Further, this also gives yet again mORE power to our armed forces, and a chance for them to abuse it. we have had enough police brutality, pleASE
Think about it: everyday, we struggle to fight for our voices to be heard amidst the injustices in our country. We are currently in a pandemic with no clear solutions from our government, we have every right to protest and demand for our needs, and this is what we are given?
