my country (the philippines) is in a lot of danger right now, because our gov't 1.) isn't mass testing citizens, 2.) is relaxing lockdown measures in spite of rising covid-19 cases, and 3.) is about to mass a law that labels all critics of the state "terrorists"

this thread outlines the bill, which can have citizens jailed for donating to non-gov't charities (??) and posting memes (!!) about the gov't

many of us are very scared, because there's much to criticize the gov't about: police brutality occurs daily here -

- ranging from killings in broad daylight, policemen raping citizens in exchange for quarantine passes, and curfew violation punishments that include the humiliation of lgbtqa+ citizens and minors
