I didn't know this interesting fact about Elon Musk and Richard Branson when I said reading fiction can make you more creative, among other things.

I just knew from my own life that reading fiction opens your mind to great ideas. And now I've got proof from billionaires!

Now that we've gotten rid of the headline clickers, let's get into it.

You see, a few days ago, I was thinking about what helpful new content I could serve up that would be of interest to mutuals on my timeline.

At some point, it came to me: what sparks really big ideas?

While researching the topic, I came across a November 2018 CNBC article titled 'Books that changed the lives of billionaires Warren Buffett, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates and more' by Zameena Mejia.

When I read the article, something immediately caught my eye.

And what was that?

It was Elon Musk saying Isaac Asimov's “Foundation” series has been “fundamental to the creation of SpaceX.”

You see, I knew about Asimov from back when I used to be heavily into fantasy and sci-fi.

And then Richard Branson referencing the famous fairy tale book, Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie, also struck a chord with me.

On Branson’s interaction with the Peter Pan fairy tale, Mejia writes:
