The only unique perspective I can give to this is that I& #39;m an Irishman who grew up during "The Troubles". I know what it feels like to be afraid simply because of your birthright. Bombs went off on streets I travelled though

Your past suffering doesn& #39;t make it okay for you to dismiss the suffering that& #39;s occurring on your doorstep. THAT is privilege: the freedom to ignore it.
