Thread: according to @FergalBowers yesterday the @HSELive cannot say when cervical, breast, bowel & diabetic retinopathy screening will resume. Could someone explain to me why these aren’t back up and running?

I’ve experienced three of those four screenings and I cannot understand why they would be problematic at this stage. They are (in my experience) well run & surely easier to manage than a busy GP surgery all of whom have stayed open?

By not having screening we are just adding to what will be a hugely backlogged system when all aspects of the HSE services return to normal. Not to mention the burden of stress & worry the non availability of screening will have on those who need it.

Have questions been asked in the Dáil about this? What do you say @SimonHarrisTD @DonnellyStephen @loreillysf @RoisinShortall
