1st Armd Div weren& #39;t used by the French on 29 May, partly because of a note sent by their CinC Gen Georges that said & #39;The British division..bears a closer resemblance to a light mechanised division than to an armoured division& #39;. The French got it even if we didn& #39;t. 1/

Eight tankies died on 29 May 1940; 7 of them have no known grave.
