We had to sign contracts when I started college to say we wouldn’t say anything regarding them on social media. For the past 3 years I’ve been scared to say anything too loud as they use fear tactics & dismiss any problems that I raised when I was there

I CANNOT be silent anymore. My sincerest apologies for not speaking out more & louder, but I was terrified of what the repercussions might be for the women working for them / studying through them

If I felt punched in the gut by this, I can’t even imagine what it must feel like to be someone of colour. And that’s white privelage right there. I was privelaged enough to stay silent and move on, but I am doing a complete injustice by beating around the bush

These women deserve equal rights, more than minimum wage and RESPECT. But that will NOT happen at Sorbet. And has not been happening for years. I will be telling my story in full, as I feel that thru my experience I can help paint the bigger picture as no one else can speak out

To end the thread, I am sorry for being cryptic for so long and I am going to try my utmost best to spread the awareness of what I experienced/saw, to hopefully help others make an informed decision of where their money is going and/or where therapists are applying for salon jobs
