ppl need to stop assuming that just because someone isnt tweeting abt current events that it means they don& #39;t care. twitter isnt the extent of activism; many ppl prefer to protest and spread the word offline and have their social media be separate from it for their mental health.

this isn& #39;t abt "privileged white ppl" but abt many poc + black teens who are fucking traumatized and contemplating suicide bcs they see violence everywhere they look. they deserve a space they can relax and find happiness in without feeling like a "traitor".

maybe i& #39;m saying this in an odd way, but i had a friend who had been spreading awareness and donation links all day and the SECOND they rted fandom content or tweeted something more light-hearted, they got qrted with "stop pretending you care abt black lives" and they ARE black.
