#COVID19 Jonathan developed a cough in the first week and he was hot n cold, so he was told by the NHS not to go into work. When he started showing no symptoms he then went back to work.
The day after he was exhausted, complaining of being hot n cold, unable to drink or eat because it made him feel sick and unable to walk far, even to the car. This happened within seconds of each other, so he booked a test.
He was unable to get to the test center, so he had to cancel it and he was transported to the hospital. By this time, he was doubled in pain, dizzy, sick, not breathing well and exhausted. The hospital kept him in overnight on a drip, but sent him home.
The day after I was terrified. He had been doing not too bad originally, but the same night he was unable to drink anything, unable to stay awake, exhausted and breathing worse. He was admitted and tested positive twice.
The hospital put him on a drip, but he went through it like water because his body was soaking up fluids too fast. His veins kept collapsing too. He ended up walking with a zimmer frame, and he still cannot manage stairs.
He is now recovering, but he has been there for quite a while now, as they are doing tests because it has damaged many things including the damage already done by his cancer treatment from when he was young, his right sided weakness, and they think it may have damaged his lungs.
They did some brain scans because of the tissue damage left behind by the cancer, and they have found shadows which they are keeping an eye on, but think was left by Covid-19
Jonathans eye was weakened by that cancer treatment already, but over the years it has been strong. Now, Covid-19 has weakened his eyes further, and caused issues with his eye sight, of which he has had no major issues with until now. This is why it needs researching.
It is also why I think it is unsafe to drive to a center with symptoms. Jonathan was able to see well before this, but now he has issues, and we don't yet know whether others who have no issues or issues with their sight will have problems too.
Also Jonathans symptoms when they came out, all happened at once. One minute he was fine, the next totally wiped out and in pain. We thought, he was going to be ok after he went back to work, but when the symptoms came properly, they came fast.
If he had driven, even with mild symptoms. The amount of time they took to develop, he might have ended up crashing. This might not apply to everyone @MattHancock but it is something you need to be aware of. I have never been more scared in my life, so please read this thread.
