1/ While coffee brewing, time to write a comprehensive -- nay, the *definitive* -- thread on the goose-stepping douchebagitude of Rebel News' Keean Bexte, and what *really* happened when he was so viciously "dragged" from the ground of Rideau Cottage.

(NARRATOR: He wasn't.)
2/ This thread is necessary for the simple reason that Bexte presented his own interpretation and video of the incident here, and the hilarious aspect to this is that Bexte's presentation makes him look even *more* the gormless twonk than anything else. https://twitter.com/TheRealKeean/status/1265784841691414528
3/ So for the remainder of this thread, I suggest you have Bexte's incomprehensibly damaging version of events in a separate window, as I will be referring to it a number of times.

And so, to work.
4/ Right from the start, it is unmistakable that Bexte does not have proper accreditation, and he *admits* this, stating, "I'm gonna see if they let me in." Only someone who *knows* he does not have the proper credentials would say something that stupid ...
5/ ... so we have already established, based on Bexte's own words, that he is unaccredited for this event and, more importantly, that he *knows* it.

But it gets worse (a phrase that will come around again and again.)

Onward ...
6/ The next observation might seem pedantic but it's useful to establish Bexte's utter incompetence as a journalist, as he next says he has a "slew of questions" for Trudeau, and he insists that he is "going to ask them all today, hopefully."
7/ How incompetent a "journalist" must you be to think that you're going to get unlimited time to launch two months' worth of questions at the Prime Minister of Canada? All this shows is that Bexte does not have clue one how these pressers work.

In any event, onward ...
8/ ... and what happens next is important, so pay attention. Bexte goes up to the gatehouse, is questioned perfunctorily by the guard, and is allowed in, and here's why that's so important.
9/ Numerous truly stupid people have been howling and screeching that, "Bexte was allowed in -- that clearly shows he was accredited and had a right to be there." Um, no. As anyone can see, the gatehouse guard is quite casual ... checking Bexte's affiliation, "OK, you're good."
10/ This is *not* the high-security screening stage (that comes later) and, besides, it probably never occurred to the guard that someone could possibly be such an idiot as to show up for this presser without the proper accreditation. In short, this incident means nothing ...
11/ ... and even Bexte makes it clear he can't believe his luck, afterwards blathering into the camera, "So they just let us in, I'm a little bit surprised ..."

As well he should be, now openly admitting to his viewing audience that he *knew* he was unaccredited.
12/ And it is at this point where Bexte's version of the narrative goes insanely off the rails, as his yammering accusations of "censorship" turn out to be utter shash, as I am about to demonstrate.

Walk with me to 0:47 of Bexte's video ...
13/ ... where the *real* security now takes over, and begins checking for proper accreditation before allowing people in. And make sure you appreciate that, based on Bexte's own words, he IS NOT ACCREDITED FOR THIS EVENT!!

We know this. He's admitted it.
14/ Which is what makes the next few seconds so utterly unexciting as, while *real* and *accredited* journalists are undoubtedly flashing their accreditation at security, Bexte is clearly singled out and told he can't enter ...
15/ ... which is where truly stupid people start screaming "bias" and "censorship" ... except there is nothing to suggest Bexte is being denied entry because of his affiliation. There is little question that his problem is a lack of accreditation ...
16/ ... and, in fact, if you listen closely, at around 0:58, you can even hear the phrase "Press Gallery," making it abundantly clear that this is a credentials issue, and has nothing to do with the fact that Bexte is a creepy little incel working for a racist media outlet.
17/ Now, as Don Henley once asked, "Are you with me so far?" Because it's important that you're with me so far, as what happens next is the money shot.
18/ At this point (and make sure you understand this), all that's happened is that Bexte has (quite correctly and justifiably) been refused entry to the presser, due to his self-admitted lack of credentials. That's it. There's been no pushing or shoving or confrontation ...
19/ ... all that's happened is that Bexte's been told, "No presser for you." And the reason that this is critically important is that when, later, Bexte claims he was dragged from the presser, this is clearly nonsense as he was NEVER IN THE PRESSER!
20/ Let's make sure y'all understand that -- it is logically nonsensical for Bexte (or anyone else) to screech about how Bexte was ejected from the press conference, when he was never *IN* the press conference. He was denied entry, and he denied for lack of credentials.
21/ SIDE NOTE: It's worth snickering over how Bexte, once he is denied entry, proceeds to take a steaming dump over all of the working journalists who took the time to, you know, apply for and get proper credentials.

In any event, onward to the good stuff ...
22/ ... where, having been denied entry, Bexte is now morosely hanging out outside the security gate. Note well there has been no pushing or shoving or confrontation ... nothing has happened other than Bexte being denied entry for being unaccredited.
23/ No one has been abusive in any way ... we simply have security quite correctly telling Bexte he can't come in, and it's at this point where Bexte ratchets things up by being, well, let's be diplomatic, a total asshole ...
24/ ... as, at around 1:14 in his own video, he is now being told quietly and politely that one cannot take pictures on the grounds (something he would have known if he'd bothered to apply for and get accreditation). In any event, still no confrontation ...
25/ ... just security patiently explaining to an ignorant goober what the rules are. No big deal. At this point, it's not clear what happens right after that, but one suspects that Bexte, being the insufferably arrogant twerp that he is, continued to film ...
26/ ... which explains the security officer, at 1:19, simply doing his job and coming out and requesting to see the photos on Bexte's phone. Again, he's doing his job. More importantly, remember that, at this point, Bexte is NOT IN THE PRESSER! He is outside the gates ...
27/ ... and, again, that's important since what happens next cannot possibly be interpreted as "dragging" Bexte from the press conference as, again, he was not *in* the press conference. He was outside the presser, and clearly violating security protocol.
28/ I won't beat the rest of this to death, except to point out that, having already been denied entry to the presser, Bexte could have just waited quietly outside the gates, or just gone home. Instead, he violated security protocol, then proceeded to mouth off to the RCMP ...
29/ ... at which point the security officer was entirely within his rights to grab Bexte by the scruff of the neck and drag his sorry ass outside the gatehouse and dump him there.
30/ Do we all now understand what happened, based on Bexte's own words and video? He was not thrown out of a Trudeau press conference for the simple fact that he was never *in* the press conference.
31/ Rather, he was escorted off the premises for violating the security protocol he was told by a security officer standing right there, then lipping off to an RCMP officer.
32/ At no time was Bexte's treatment any sort of censorship based on the racist, craptastic media outlet he works for. It was based on the fact that he was an asshole, and was shown the door.

Are we done here?

Yeah, we're done here.

The end.
P.S. I believe ya'll can now appreciate how every word in Keean's whiny blubbering is utterly false.
P.P.S. Turns out CBC's @carolyndunncbc tried to explain press conference logistics to some truly airheaded twonks. It did not go well. https://twitter.com/carolyndunncbc/status/1266079217508249600
P.P.P.S. Based on the series of events from Bexte's own video, can we all agree that this hysterical headline is, quite simply, a pack of lies from Bexte?

(NARRATOR: Yes, we can.)
AFTERSNARK: What the heck, one more bit of random association, then move on. Again, here's Rebel's Keean Bexte, wildly misrepresenting what actually happened in very possible way, so let's dissect this silliness a bit more.
As we have already established, it is clearly impossible for Bexte to have been "dragged out of [Trudeau's] press conference" for the simple reason that he was never *in* Trudeau's press conference.
Similarly, he could not possibly have been ejected so that Trudeau could "avoid questions" since he was in no position, standing outside the gates on the lawn, to *ask* any questions. But there's one more bit of stupidity to eviscerate.
I refer to Bexte's insistence that "when Trudeau's henchman saw me, the PMO sicced the RCMP on me." Really? Is that what happened? Let's check.
That is, even after they know who he is, no one seems the slightest bit concerned about Bexte simply moping around on the lawn. No one's rushing over in a panic, and no one is desperately trying to throw him out. In short, no one gives a crap that he's there ...
... until he starts taking pictures, at which point one of the security dudes tells him not to. No panic, no anger, just "You can't do that." So, again, there's no concerted effort to give Bexte the bum's rush ...
... until the (apparent) RCMP dude shows up. But even *then*, it's not to remove Bexte; rather, it's to check on the apparent security violation of him taking pictures.
In other words, RCMP dude did not rush over to remove Bexte from the premises; rather, he simply asked to see the possible security violation photos on his phone, nothing more. Only after Bexte refused did he get the heave-ho.
In other words, Bexte's claim that someone "sicced the RCMP on [him]" to throw him out is utter garbage; right up until he started breaking the rules, no one seemed to give a crap whether he was there or not.

Are we done here?

Sure, we're done here.

The end(?).
