At last we are getting to the nub of the coronavirus crisis as #Today @BBCr4today reports on those most at risk. Thank you.

80% of people would suffer minor symptoms if they got coronavirus - it’s the remaining 20% we need (as much as we can) to identify & then support.
Based on my experience
* We’ve still not identified the most at risk (many have slipped through a chaotic system). This needs urgent review & co-ordination of GP, hospital & national lists
* Everyone identified as at most risk should be contacted & spoken to by a clinician
* That contact (not impersonal & frightening texts) would ensure support is in place, give advice & start the conversation as to how people at risk want to live their lives.
* Because there are some in the high risk category who do not want to spend their life living as hermits
* For some it will be potentially the remaining years of their life & it’s a truly grim prospect of never again seeing your family & friends

* For others it will be how (we) manage our lives so we understand & evaluate the risks but actually have a life worth living
