can i go off about how matterhorn's name was revealed the moment courier was out but only jp server/people who understood jp could catch it. im gonna complain
So courier says "yaaka no aniki" in talk 2 "I can't beat Matterhorn in the kitchen".
In en/cn it is written with "matterhorn" which is his code name. (in jp it's written as yaaka as well)

When I first heard it i was wondering what he meant, but because he said "yaaka no aniki" instead of "yaaka aniki" + the fact that I am dumb, i assumed it's some endearing kjerag term and dropped it since i understood he was talking about matterhorn anyway
cliffheart also mentions it in talk after promo1 "Did my brother send Mr. Matterhorn to protect me?"
in jp she says "yaaka ojisan". ojisan = old man / uncle (in cn she uses "叔" which is also uncle)
in jp she says "yaaka ojisan". ojisan = old man / uncle (in cn she uses "叔" which is also uncle)
so recently i was thinking about kjerag gang a lot and listened to courier again and my two braincells finally snapped the connection that courier was referring to matterhorn by his real name.
afhsdhgsdg this thread is just me going wtf wtf.... mr matterhorn...
ANYWAY so. If I am right Matterhorn's real name is "yaaka". I can't think of a good way to localise it - could be written as yaga or yaka!

pls take this thread with a grain of salt! maybe im dumb and wrong or it's already written somewhere else! but thank u for listening please be nice to mr matterhorn

bonus fun fact: ifrit calls matterhorn "uncle matterhorn" as well in that ONE obsidian festival line in both cn and jp

(but it's totally wiped out in EN server.)
