last fall i was pulled over for speeding by the police late at night, alone, on a highway in Alabama. not ONCE did I fear for my life - I was afraid I was going to get yelled at by my parents. and THAT is white privilege.
We need to pay attention to how our whiteness benefits us and recognize that our experience is not the same as for POC.
educate yourself, educate the people around you, call out racism even when there are no POC in the room, and support organizations that actively fight for equal justice #BlackLivesMatter
#JusticeForGeorgeFloyd

if you’re white and you’ve been wondering, like me, what you can do, i found this to be a good place to start https://medium.com/equality-includes-you/what-white-people-can-do-for-racial-justice-f2d18b0e0234
