Dear young people,

Though it was only 6 years ago, many of you who are college age now may not remember the Ferguson protests of 2014-2015. (Before you do a google search, you may want to check out the two links in the comments)...

People were just as outraged over the Michael Brown shooting then as they are over the George Floyd murder now—maybe even more. The case in Ferguson drew so much media attention, then President Obama announced that his DOJ would investigate, the same way President Trump...

announced that his FBI would investigate.
The protests over the shooting of Michael Brown quickly became riots that were echoed across the country. Most of the damage done in Ferguson was instigated by outsiders, e.g. the Black Panther Party of Oakland...

and the Nation of Islam from Chicago. There were also anti-Israel activists taking pictures and posting with #FergusontoPalestine. No. I'm not kidding. Ferguson was used as an anti-Zionist propaganda tool.

Many of those same elements are at play again...

as different people with varying agendas have latched onto the tragedy in Minneapolis.

Stay vigilant, young people, and don't be controlled by your emotions. Think. Research. Ask questions. Don't be manipulated by the media or by those who are simply reacting...

There is too much at stake.
