A few thunderstorms are currently positioned just east of Lynchburg. The short range models are showing it developing and hitting somewhere in the DC metro around sunrise. I drew a cone of the approximate areas that could be affected (not all will) @DCAreaWx #mdwx #dcwx #vawx

So as not to clutter the thread with the info on the main threat, I’m going to continue this thread for the sunrise storms

UPDATE 3:00 am: the latest run of the HRRR model shows the area of storms moving northeast and impacting areas along and just east of I-95 at 6 am (time shown in pic below). There may be some thunder, but I don’t expect these to be severe #mdwx #dcwx #vawx
