All you whitefullas being outraged over Black deaths in America - while this is absolutely something to be outraged over - take a look at your own backyard. First Nations mob are being killed here, where’s the outrage? All we get is silence. Be outraged for Aboriginal deaths too!
Some facts: we couldn’t even make it two weeks into this year without an Aboriginal woman being killed in custody https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/amp.abc.net.au/article/11856430">https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/amp...
Literally this month https://www.sbs.com.au/nitv/nitv-news/article/2020/05/06/body-aboriginal-mother-found-inside-wheelie-bin-was-north">https://www.sbs.com.au/nitv/nitv...
In 1991 there was a Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody. Since then 426 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have died in state custody. This is a rate of 15 deaths per year and of more than one death per MONTH FOR NEARLY THREE DECADES.
So ABSOLUTELY be outraged over deaths of Black folk in America, I& #39;m outraged, we should all be outraged. But don& #39;t forget that it& #39;s happening here and the First Nations community needs your support as well.
