Q: Why lockdown in fewer cases, why relieve when increased?

1)This pandemic is not printed in India. It was brought by the travellers. Hence the lockdown was a must to contain people from moving around and speeding it.
2)our infrastructure wasn't ready to deal with it

This lockdown was an opportunity to state as well as Central Govt to prep themselves. From masks to PPE to quarantine facilities, all had to be readied.
3)Fewer cases, if opposition had supported, would have been easier to contain & break the chain.

But people didn't cooperate. Hid travel history. Opposition spread wrong news, even calling it not serious.
They don't want to be held responsible for it. People really dying, opposition is seeing it as an opportunity to corner Modi. That's their constipated moral

4)Why relieve it now?
Coz lock down cannot be kept forever. It has to be gradually loosened. States like UP who took the opportunity seriously are prepared to loosen up at places.
Bt states that didn't take it seriously, are now caught napping. They now seeing red

5) Also the infra is quite prepared to deal with more number of cases, if reported.
AS PER WHO GUIDELINES 48 DAYS OF LOCKDOWN WAS SUPPOSED TO BREAK THE CHAIN.
so now rather than blaming opposition must own it up,be a little responsible when country is facing so many issues

They have done a commendable job with pandemic so far. Scientific too.
It's sad to see them on backfoot or being defensive
