Got called a cheater in comp tonight. While yes I did just get a new gaming chair my guy, and thank you for noticing, I’m comfortable in my chair that my hands aren’t going numb to nerve damage to play. I go out of my way to duel the best snipers in lobbies repeatedly.
I feel both honored and sad that real players are being accused of cheating for flashy snipes. I clip all of my “aimbot” like snipe plays for a montage I’m working on. There are cheaters in comp without a doubt and they can be hard to spot, but it’s being thrown around too much.
I jokingly added a part to my bio about being that sniper you think is cheating a few days ago; didn’t think I’d actually get called one within days. Ah well; it’ll be back to the Unbroken grind tomorrow. I love comp and I love Destiny’s pvp above all else; I play to get better.
A year ago I decided I was going to do exactly that: watch and learn better players to get better myself. I’m a shadow of the .4 K/D in CoD4 in which I played for fun with my brothers. A year ago I relapsed with my alcohol problem that I had been sober for 5 years for. Unbroken
is more than a title to me; it is a reminder that will be tattooed on my hand as a reminder to never waver. Playing comp with a changed mindset to positive has really helped me grow. I would not have a single Legend under my belt without it; let alone going for my 3rd and 4th.
