A feature on an international superstar is nothing more than putting a picture of Kardashian sisters on your social media feed. It will get more retweets and like, but never going to make a meaningful impact on your readers, or help grow your brand substantially.

Finally, I don't buy the argument of many reporters that their editors dislike and discourage and trash local stories. It is a reporter's responsibility to make the right pitch and sell it to his seniors.
A good story is like a good man - you cannot put it down for long!
