If I see one more white person in the replies of a #BlackLivesMatter tweet whining on about how “not all white people are racist” or “but what about white lives matter” I’m going to deck them. Shut UP. This is not about you and stop trying to make it about you.

This is about the thousands of black lives that are taken by police in America every year. This is a racism issue. This is about the fact that us as white people have privilege and have had it for YEARS and do nothing to help-

-whilst poc people and especially black people are STILL discriminated against in the 21st century. I’m so sick of us as white people still using our privilege and being racist and still discriminating against poc-

-just because of the colour of their skin and because of the stereotypes that society and we have created about them. So do not be quiet about this. This is the time to take action and help. Donate, speak out and spread the word.

And most importantly don’t forget his name. His name was #GeorgeFloyd. He was unjustly murdered by police. And he couldn’t breathe.

(Before y’all come for me, yes I KNOW that not all white people are racist. I know that I’m not dumb. BUT the majority of white people still are and not helping and speaking out about everything that’s happening and that’s why I’m angry.)

(Also please don’t hesitate to educate me if I’ve gotten anything wrong in this thread! As I mentioned, I’m white and while I make the effort to constantly educate myself, I sometimes miss things or am misinformed by people.)
