Responsibility for the further unrest tonight falls squarely on the shoulders of the authorities who have failed to arrest four murderers.

This is their fault. Behave lawlessly, invite disregard for the law.
This is disgraceful.

Minneapolis has a law enforcement problem far larger than four officers.
Law enforcement pepper spraying protestors for no reason other than to be abusive.
And now the 3rd precinct is reportedly on fire.

This entire escalation began with police brutality; escalated with the injustice of no arrests; and was brought to a flashpoint with the help of further police violence.

No justice, no peace.

There has been no justice.
Note: commenters pointed out these scenes are a mix of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

The 3rd precinct - former home to the four unarrested former officers - is now on fire.

Maybe other jurisdictions will think twice before allowing officers with 18 complaints on file to kill a citizen and go unarrested.
Hannepin District Attorney Mike Freeman had a chance to cool tensions today.

Instead, he threw gasoline on the fire by insinuating charges may *never* come.

Unbelievably irresponsible.

They sent an arsonist out to tamp down a fire.
I am so angry at the entirety of what has transpired here.

A crime was committed in plain sight.

It was a crime the likes of which we have seen many times before.

Instead of responding with assurances of justice, authorities have ignited a powder keg of *their own making*.
I find it far easier to understand how a crowd long familiar with injustice could set fire to a police station that housed the latest assailants than to understand the utter clusterfuck of either incompetence or corruption on display by the authorities.
