Wow. Protesters/rioters have successfully invaded the Third Precinct police building in Minneapolis and are lighting it on fire
Police apparently retreated and surrendered the building. Heard a protester/rioter scream that they breached an evidence room
There's a guy livestreaming from inside the building, which is currently being destroyed: sprinklers going off
Protesters/rioters appear to have now left the building. Saw one running out with a carton of what looked like evidence or some other materials
Perimeter of building on fire. Unclear whether anyone's still inside the building. At least some portion of the rioters did leave, seeming to sense that police were on their way back
Needless to say, social distancing guidelines not being upheld right now -- lol
Just eyeballing it, crowd looks to be majority white
Frankly it might even be close to 75% white. Does anyone know of a precedent of a police building being invaded and occupied like this before? There are currently people on the roof celebrating
Probably not a great idea to be interviewed on camera in these circumstances. There are rumors that they are now attempting to totally blow up the building
Evidently these people are fine with being on camera, faces fully revealed. The stream is publicly accessible
I'm amazed that these people are confessing to crimes on a livestream that they know is going to be viewed by police
They are bragging that they stole a police utility belt! They are ASKING for this to be broadcast as widely as possible. I somehow doubt that anyone consulted with a lawyer before attending this gathering
It's now been at least 90 minutes straight of total anarchy and no police in sight. Bizarre! Never seen anything like this
Reports of shots fired. Several businesses in the facility currently burning, including a tobacco shop, a liquor store, and a Wendy's

For there to still be no police presence at this point, you'd have to think a political decision was made somewhere in the chain of command
