okay. every time i refresh my feed or look my GCs it’s something new that’s distressing. so i’m going to do a thread of things that i’m thankful for.
1. i’m thankful for my parents. my mom is my best friend and we can talk about anything and she doesn’t judge me even when we disagree. i’m thankful for my dad who always tries to push me to try new things, and to get my dreams/goals realized in any way that he can.
2. i’m thankful for my brothers. my oldest brother is super caring, and always looking out for me. my other brother is a goofball and incredibly talented, we’re closer and we always can be honest with each other and discuss story ideas or goals for the future whenever.
3. i’m thankful for my friend trinity. we met five years ago and have been through tons of ups and downs, but she’s basically the sister i never had. we’re always giving each other music recommendations or thirsting over our faves and i wouldn’t trade her for anything.
4. i’m thankful for my friends in the reylhoes gc. we met late last year and they’re honestly some of the best people i’ve ever known. we don’t talk as often as we used to, but i’ll always be happy we met and got to experience so much of the sw/reylo fandom together.
5. i’m thankful for the wenzymaxipads gc. MY GIRLS (plus shaun
). i love how much we support wanda/lizzie, how we uplift each other and celebrate accomplishments, or offer support when one of us are going through something difficult. hands down some of the best people ever.

6. i’m thankful to have met tom hiddleston. i cosplayed as him and he said that i looked amazing, and stopped me afterwards to talk some more. at the autograph table i told him how he’d helped bring me out of some dark times, and he earnestly listened. i’ll always cherish that.
7. finally: i’m thankful to be black. it’s hard. it’s REALLY hard. to know that people hate you without knowing a thing about you. to have to undo years of conditioning that breeds self hatred. but it’s also beautiful to have a culture unique to my people. to know and +
understand each other sometimes without having to say a word. to have contributed to so many things society takes for granted. our recipes. our vernacular. our humor. our music. our movies. our literature. everything about being black is so special to me. even the hard parts.
