I love nigerians I really do, I’m not trying to start a diaspora war BUT since it’s already a topic of discussion. I would like to point out that ALOT of Nigerians that weren’t born and raised in America, coon and ignore race issues. I know some of y’all are having amnesia.

IF THAT DOESNT APPLY TO YOU THEN DONT GET TRIGGERED. But we aren’t going to ignore the way FOB nigerians and nigerians in Nigeria ignorantly downplay race issues in America. It’s not necessarily their fault. It’s ignorance. BUT the bias is definitely there.

My mom used to be a coon just like my dad when she first got here. They were bullied by black Americans and ignorant on race issues so they looked down on them. Yes this happens. HOWEVER after my mom lived here for a while and dealt with it first hand. She’s now pro black af.

My dad however moved back to nigeria and still be spewing nonsense about black Americans because of how he was treated when we lived in the hood. Oh well. His coon ass is in his country.

What I’m trying to say is, Nigerians (and other Africans) say extremely problematic things about black Americans because of the way the media portrays them and because of how they were treated when they first come. It is not an excuse, I’m just giving context.

A lot of the time, they don’t understand racism until they experience firsthand. They literally come from countries with all black people ran by black people, but with terrible governments. So when they come here and see opportunity they think they can coon their way to the top.

Which they soon have to learn that they are black. The world is anti-black. When you come from countries that are just black, you are nothing but your nationality and ethnicity. You have no idea of race because you don’t have to live with another race.

They often fall into the white man’s game and think that they can good negro their way out of anything. What they fail to understand is you can’t degree, work, or church your way out of racism!!! It’s a system built against us.

White people show black Americans the terrible side of Africa and make them hate anything remotely african to disconnect them from their roots. The SAME White people show Africans “thugs” and “poverty” and make them think black Americans are violent and lazy.

It’s misplaced hate. We have a common enemy! Black is black. Police don’t care if you are Jamaican, Nigerian or African American. They don’t care how many degrees you have or if you’ve served or not. If you are black, You are BLACK!!!! The whole world is anti black. We need unity
