okay i sucked it up and got a menstrual cup and my first impression is: nice i shouldve done this years ago

i mean i literally put it in 19 mins ago
and im on day 2 of my period and im tryna go to a pool party on saturday
i can still feel gushes lol
i either put it in wrong or i filled it because i feel it leaking (my second day is mostly the clots and i can bleed though a pad in less than an hour. tampons dry me out i hate them)
okay i showered after this tweet and i wouldnt recommend pouring it out in the shower if you have a bunch of clots... and i just re emptied it now.
so in the shower it was only half full, but i kind of put it in wrong? i had to angle it to the side. my vaginal canal(??) is kinda crooked? i never knew. i even asked my bf and he said its to my right. so when i put it in the second time there was no leaks
and in terms of doing this in a non private bathroom?? maybe im not skilled but i would definitely not be able to do it without walking out with blood on my hands and with filling a cup within 3 hrs on my heaviest flow day i will have to try my next period i guess
its not a huge amount of blood, but youre kind of shoving your fingers up there to pinch and since you need to break the suction blood will come out and get on you. im assuming were all chill w it though??
and for the leak. im wearing a pad as a secondary measure, and you can definitely feel the leak. its not a lot though. you know when you start in public but maybe youre going home soon, and tp will be enough so you dont need to buy something?? its like that
so you can definitely go to a bathroom and just readjust without having to ruin hella underwear. and it feels secure when its in. you will Know (probably)
the weirdest thing to get used to is like, the Thwap. it pops open and you feel it. its not terrible. its just a feeling. i might have a cup that just isnt 100% right for me as well
