Something uncomfortable I'd like to posit without demeaning the current struggles in US but:

for every HK protest rioting tips post shared around here in support of the George Floyd protesters, I hope people /know/ and will also share what's going on in Hong Kong /now/.

I hate to point it out in this context bc it's not that BLM shouldnt be at the forefront now (every struggle matters) but US-centrism is REAL; there are terrible situations happening around the world right now with no one shedding much needed light as quickly or as effectively.

Please, if you have the emotional wherewithal to cope with more than one issue atm, also have a heart for the people in HK because they are essentially losing their democracy and rights to voice out against it.

These protests you revere HKers for, may never see life again.

And if u have more, please also know and share what you can of what's going on in Phillipines (police+military brutality, dictatorship abuse of power, nepotism, citizen life+rights disregarded) or anywhere else that needs the attention bc it's been months and no one beyond cares.
