okay im going to make a small thread on protest safety because that is how i feel like i can contribute rn and because i see people in my tl who are on the streets right now

1) Make sure you carry ID with you, not in your bag but in your clothes.
2) Write your name with marker on some part of your body.
3) If you are allergic to any meds also write that down in some visible part of your body.
4) Carry a lemon with you to suck on in case the police throws gas at you. This will aliviate the effects. Tie your hair if its long, the gas tends to stay longer there.
5) If the police tries to take you drop all of your weight on them, do not use force or lift your feet off the ground. You can also curl into a ball in the floor. If they do take you, make sure someone sees you and knows your name.
6) Carry water always.
7) Have emergency phone numbers not only on your phone since they might take it from you/get lost.
8) Don& #39;t go alone if possible. Share the your location to family/friends.
